Snowy

Snowy
The leading figure of the comic that was inspired by the dog animal.

Milú Fox Terrier is a hard hair and white companion in the series of Tintin comics bearing the same name as the protagonist, and whose original name (Snowy) is due to the first girlfriend of the author Hergé at age 18 (Marie-Louise Van Cutsem, known affectionately Snowy). For this reason, many make the mistake that Milú this is a female. However, the attitudes of the mascot and the constant use of the word "chien" (in French, dog) Milú make it clear that this is a male. Master and dog are so inseparable that for many years the series on the adventures of the intrepid reporter was titled The Adventures of Tintin and Milú.

Characterization
In the first album in the series, Milú has a central role, since it was the only companion of its owner. Both remain true talks, which the dog at times took the place of confidant and the objector.

Unlike its owner, Milú is characterized by having their feet strongest on earth, is not obsessed with a mission to fulfill, being its main aspiration tranquillity, which makes it often wary of the initiatives of his master.

Despite being indecisive at times, Milú dispose of their hesitation when it comes to rescue Tintin, which relies on his wits and courage. However, sometimes allowing a choice between a bone found on the road yy its primary purpose of protecting his master.

Among other anécdoticas figures, it should be noted that the fascination exerted whisky for this dog, particularly when it comes to the (fictitious) mark-Loch Lomond, which would cause more than a few headaches. In this regard, it is very similar to Captain Haddock, to the point that seems to be its precursor. The dog and the captain are characters in the same order, which balanced with joy which Tintin may have to overly wise or virtuous. Perhaps it is for this reason that the role of Milú is significantly decreased with the emergence of Haddock in the series.
