Bugs Bunny is a cartoon character-unien statements made by several artists including Ben Hardaway. It appeared for the first time on screen in Porky's Hare Hunt (1938) by Ben Hardaway and Cal Dalton. He became the character we know today from the pen of Tex Avery in Wild Hare (1940), produced by Chuck Jones. At first, he was called Happy Rabbit, but on the suggestion of Mel Blanc (the original voice of Bugs Bunny, author of the classic phrase Ehh, What's up Doc? Ie What's new doctor?) He was named as its creator Ben Hardaway, whose nickname was Bugs. Beginning in 1962, Bugs appeared in 159 films and won an Oscar for the same Knightly Knight Bugs (1958). It is a leading figure of Warner Bros. .. French version, it was Guy PiƩrauld who was the voice of Bugs Bunny.

Bugs Bunny was ranked No. 1 among the 50 best cartoon characters in a top 50 American. He has a star on the Walk of Fame. In 1997, he was the first toon represented on a postage stamp from the United States.
