Akita Inu
The Akita or Akita inu ken (秋田犬, Akita ken?; Literally "Akita dog") is a Japanese breed of dog.

History
The race date approximately 300 years and takes its name from the prefecture of Akita in northern Japan. The biggest Japanese Spitz, the Akita was originally bred for hunting bear, deer and wild boar. The race has been altered by crosses with dogs type molosse to promote aggressiveness and guide the race to the fighting dogs. The fighting dogs are almost extinct race but in 1931, the Ministry of National Education has proclaimed the Japanese Akita as a natural monument and all necessary efforts have been made to preserve the race and return to the original standard.

Helen Keller would have made the first Akita in North America in 1930 after it gave him the dog during a visit to Japan. Today the American Akita is a new race car again crosses were made. That would put the military in Japan, which would have reduced the race in large numbers at the end of World War II.

Hachikō Akita is best known. Her statue now before the throne of Shibuya station in Tokyo. This faithful dog accompanied his master university professor (Mr. Uyeno) and waited all day in front of the station: he continued for 10 years after the death of the old professor, until his own death (he was fed by inhabitants). It is said qu'Hachikō death outside the station.

Temperament
The Akita dog is a very independent. It is close to its masters, but is generally reserved for foreigners. It needs a solid education, combining gentleness and firmness ... or as we say "an iron fist in a velvet glove." A akita is not suitable for everyone, and give him an education from his early days at home is essential if the akita you dominate easily. The Akita is often aggressive toward other dogs of the same sex, and it is not recommended to own dogs same sex as the Akita. Couples, however, are quite harmonious. The race rarely barks. It is a discrete and independent dog: a real 'dog-cat ". The akita is quite pantouflard, and is generally not a great athlete, though like all dogs, it needs big ballads to unwind and find its balance. The akita is not runaway, but her independent side and a bad reminder akita can bring to his life, and to ballader alone, we must be very vigilant. The reminder is to be learned from an early age, is one of the hardest orders to assimilate for a akita.

Level of activity
Often pantouflard to be reluctant to leave a rainy day, the dog gets used very well to the rhythm of life of his master, with a level of activity below the average. He likes walking, but not a great sportsman, especially as regards the heaviest models. It is a dog who finds it difficult to jump, but he is agile and knows better climb that jump. This is due to post its angulés little, and often it does not even draw much on a leash. It averaged more calm and asked spitz of japan, while taking into account individual differences and lines.
